Reconstruction works on connecting regions left without electricity are being continued

On December, 5 strong snow falling with rain caused open-phase faults of transmission lines in eight regions of Tatarstan.
According to press service of RT Ministry of civil defense and emergency situations on Sunday afternoon partial blackout happened in 13 regions of republic where 967 power substations, 267 settlements are located. 66920 people live there. Operative headquartes was deployed immediately with participation of heads of ministries and departments and all heads of administrations of injured regions.
RT President Rustam Minnikhanov held two sessions of RT Commission for preventing and liquidation emergency situations (on Sunday at 21.00 and midnight).
Emergency-restorative brigades of JSC “Network Company” are working; Centre of management in crisis situations under Chief department of Russian Ministry of emergency situations on RT is monitoring the situation.
As of 7.15 on Monday morning (December,6) power supply in Chistopol, Alekseevsky, Spassky regions was restored completely and partially in Aksubaevo, Aktanysh, Alkeevo, Zainsk, Menzelinsk, Nurlat, Chistopol regions. There is no power supply in 29 settlements on Novo-Sheshminsk municipal region.
We remind, due to sleet, strong wind and temperature difference, ice crust formed on transmission lines that caused faults. Cases of pylons falling have also been fixed.
Special objects such as hospitals, nursing homes, e.t.c. were transferred to reserve sources of power supply.
Moreover, yesterday GIBDD on RT decided to close sections of federal highways M7 “Moscow-Ufa” and M5 “Moscow-Chelyabinsk” Tatarstan for long-length trucks and passenger buses.
GIBDD press service warned drivers of automobiles to follow speed regime and be very attentive on the roads.
According to data for 8.00, 57 000 people still do not have electricity.
RT President Rustam Minnikhanov is in contact with heads of mostly injured municipal regions.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.

On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
