Rustam Minnikhanov chairs a meeting on preschool education development

Public-private partnership projects in the sphere of preschool education development can develop in Tatarstan in to allow more kids to get admission to kindergarten. This topic was central at a meeting chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov on December 7.

The meeting was held at the Tatarstan House of Government. Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Education Minister Albert Gilmutdinov, Deputy Prime Minister – Informatisation and Communication Minister Nikolai Nikiforov, Chief of Staff of the Tatarstan President Yuri Kamaltynov, Aide to the Tatarstan President on social issues Tatyana Larionova and other officials took part in the meeting.

The main report was made by Tatarstan Education minister Albert Gilmutdinov. He said that 72 percent of kids attend preschool establishments in Tatarstan against Russia’s average of 59.1 percent. Altogether there are 225.4 kids age 0-7 in Tatarstan 167.5 thousand of which go to kindergartens.
