More than 70 % of school buses did not set out on a trip because of snow drifts

Slash and drizzling rain are coming to republic in the nearest two days. This has been said today by Head of Department on hydrometeorology and environmental monitoring Sergey Zakharov at special session of Commission on prevention and liquidation of emergency situations and ensuring of fire safety in RT.
The session was held by RT First deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of commission Ravil Muratov in House of RT Government (Kazan) in format of video conference with participation of all municipal regions.
According to data of Department on hydrometeorology and environmental monitoring, on December, 28 air temperature in republic will make 2-7 degrees below zero. From December, 29 the temperature will be decreasing. Snowfalls clutter traffic on federal, regional and municipal highways.
By words of Director General of JSC “Network Company” Damir Safiullin, to avoid wire breaks works on controlling ice buildup on wires are carried out.
Ravil Muratov offered to provide social objects, hospitals and water towers with reserve power-supply sources.
RT Minister of transport and road construction Lenar Safin reported on situation on roads. He offered to cancel lessons at schools because there is no opportunity to convey children by school buses.
Head of State road safety inspectorate on RT Rifkat Minnikhanov reminded about restrictions on movement of heavyweights in Kazan: entry to the city is not allowed from 5 o’clock a.m. to 22 o’clock p.m. up to December,31.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.

On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.
