President of Tatarstan takes part in work of World economic forum in Davos

RT President Rustam Minnikhanov is in Davos (Switzerland) and takes part in work of 41st World economic forum. The key topic of current forum in Davos will be “General standards of new reality”. The topic of annual session of World economic forum-2011 is based on four interrelated sections: response to new reality, economic prospects for the future and determination of policy of further global development, maintenance of program “G20” and creation of mechanism of reacting to global challenges.
In connection with terrorist attacks in “Domodedovo” organizers of forum corrected the program of session paying attention to problems of terrorism.
It is meant that more than 2,5 thousand representatives of power-holding structures, business elite and public organizations from 90 countries will take part in 41st session of forum in Davos that will be held on January, 26-30. 18 heads of states are to arrive in Davos.
Russian delegation is headed by RF President Dmitry Medvedev who will meet with members of International business Council and then speak at opening ceremony.
The Republic of Tatarstan is presented by Director General of JSC ‘KAMAZ” Sergey Kogogin and Director General of JSC “Tatneft” Shafagat Takhautdinov .
A number of official meetings are planned within the program of visit of Rustam Minnikhanov to Switzerland.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.
