Rustam Minnikhanov and President of EBRD Tomas Mirov discuss attraction of loans from EBRD for JSC “Tatneft” and the second construction stage of JSC “TANECO”

Issues of further cooperation were discussed at the meeting between RT President Rustam Minnikhanov and President of European Bank of reconstruction and development Tomas Mirov.

By words of Aide to Tatarstan President Iskander Muflikhanov, the parties discussed cooperation on project of developing city infrastructure of Kazan, and attraction of loans from EBRD for JSC “Tatneft” and the second construction stage of JSC “TANECO” (Complex of oil-refining and petrochemical plants in Nizhnekamsk). Finally, it was decided to create a working group to continue negotiations.

Besides, RT President Rustam Minnikhanov held meeting with leadership of JSC “Yokogawa Electric” (the company is engaged into investment projects of oil-gas-chemical complex of Tatarstan).

Aide to Tatarstan President Iskander Muflikhanov informed that work of Tatarstan delegation within the limits of World economic forum (Davos) attracted interest of representatives of participating companies. So, leadership of company Sun Group (India) showed interest towards Tatarstan as the region with attractive investment climate. This company deals with investments in energy sector and was founded in 1958. It has been presented at Russian market for 20 years. CEOs of Sun Group Company expressed intention to visit Tatarstan in the nearest time for more detailed examination of the region’s economy and prospects of investment.

We remind that Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov is in Davos and takes part in work of World economic forum (January,25-27). Today Rustam Minnikhanov took part in session “Towards new global reality through joint work and cooperation” with participation of President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and also in discussion of topic «Vision for the G20» with participation of French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
