Vitaliy Mutko: The Republic of Tatarstan is a reliable partner for development in such areas as sport, tourism and youth policy for the Government of the Russian Federation

The Republic of Tatarstan is a reliable partner for development in such areas as sport, tourism and youth policy for the Government of the Russian Federation. Vitaliy Mutko, Head of the RF Ministry of Sports, announced about this on the board of the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, in Kazan on the 1st of February.
Final collegium of the ministry devoted to the work results in 2010, was held in the “Korston Hotel & Mall Kazan”in form of video conferencing, connecting all the municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the collegium.
Vitaliy Mutko recalled that strategy for sports development in Russia was adopted in 2009. He also said that the State Duma introduced a draft law to change the role of sports federations. Federations will be a partners of the State. Basic principles of sports development should be determined by the State. Besides, today, we can not do it without the help of municipalities.
Serious attention will be given to scientific and medical-biological support of sport, said Minister of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation. As he said, it is expected that 2,5 billion rubles will be devoted to development of this branch from the federal budget in 2011. (In 2010 - 120 mln.).
Separately Vitaliy Mutko focused on the development of material-technical base and upgrade the incentive payment system in sports. Thus, the national team athletes will receive their salaries from 35 to 120 thousand rubles.
The Minister of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy of Russia reminded that sport has got a separate federal budget item, it is about 43 billion rubles in 2011.
Speaking about tourism industry, he said that today Russia is inside the top ten countries with high potential for tourism development. Every year we can receive up to 70 million tourists.
Within the framework of the collegium an agreement on cooperation in the development of physical culture and sports between the Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy of Russia and Republic of Tatarstan was signed by Mutko and Minnikhanov.

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
