Rustam Minnikhanov and Vitaliy Mutko took part in the opening ceremony of the youth camp "Volga"

The opening ceremony of the new youth camp "Volga" was held on the 1st of February outside Kazan. At the entrance to the center the symbolic ribbon was cut by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan and Vitaliy Mutko, Minister of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy of Russia.

The youth camp Volga was built within a year in the village Borovoye Matyushino – near the place where the former camp with the same name was situated. Students of Soviet times liked to spend free time there. The new complex was built by OAO Tatneft for 638 million rubles. In the area of 4.6 hectares residential block of 92 rooms for 200 guests is located. Also, there you can find a football field with artificial turf, tennis courts, volleyball playground and jogging path over a kilometer length. The territory of the center is equipped with a paved thoroughfares, sidewalks, artificial lighting, video control system. The center has its own boiler and water intake.

"We always wanted to have a good youth center, camp, and thanks to the company Tatneft this wish has come true" –Rustam Minnikhanov the President of Tatarstan said.

He also recalled that today Tatneft builds ice arenas, sports and social facilities in the republic, and this desire of large companies should be supported.

Rustam Minnikhanov handed out letters of thanks of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan to everyone who has made a significant contribution to building the youth center.

According to the organizers, the center can be used for specialized sessions - such as a school of hospitality, language school, as well as the basis for charges of youth sports teams.
