180 thousand sq meters of housing was phased in Tatarstan in January, 2011

Constructing and housing in Tatarstan are the main priorities in estimating efficiency of authorities. Today, it was declared by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, in conference on launching and realization of the program directed to housing conditions improvement of war veterans. The conference was held in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan, in videoconferencing mode connecting all municipal districts. Besides, live broadcasting of the conference was carried out on the Internet.

The RT President noticed that yesterday he was in Kirov, where he took part in the conference on development of housing constructions in regions under the leadership of Vladimir Putin, Head of the Government of Russia. The Federal Target Program “Dwelling” was accepted until 2015 year.

Rustam Minnikhanov reported that today Federal Government charges with a task to increase the progress rate of housing to one-half from 58 mln.sq meters in 2010 to 90 mln.sq meters in 2015 within five years.

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan also mentioned that today people underwork at different kinds of constructing in Tatarstan. “Social mortgage is aimed at those citizens, who are not able to construct housing. We need to find ways of supporting citizens, who would like to improve their house facilities. Particularly, the housing price may be cheaper if we use local building materials, forest and find proper mechanisms of compensation of expenditures on individual building” – Rustam Minnikhanov declared.

Irek Faizullin, Minister of Construction, Agriculture and Housing, delivered the report that 180 thousand sq meters of housing, which includes 36 thousand sq meters (670 flats) by the program of Public Housing Fund, was phased in Tatarstan in January, 2011. What concerns housing conditions improvement of war veterans, 14323 people are registered in order to get housing in the Republic of Tatarstan. According to Irek Faizullin, 2 bln. roubles are required to settle war veterans in the Republic of Tatarstan.
