Government of Tatarstan to intensify measures on restricting possible abuse of price formation

In connection with seasonal growth of prices for fruit and vegetable production for the purpose of providing population with products by reasonable prices Government of Tatarstan Republic has made decision to organize agricultural fairs on February,12 - April,30. This was announced today by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov at briefing in RT Cabinet.
Fairs will be held weekly on Saturdays at five markets in Kazan and two markets in Naberezhnye Chelny.
Agricultural producers from all republican regions, enterprises of agro-industrial complex and investment companies will take part in fairs.
This measure should decrease social tensity connected with increase in prices for separate kinds of foodstuff.
While holding agricultural fairs RT Government and Dept. of Federal Antimonopoly Service will intensify measures on restricting possible abuse of price formation.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.
