Rustam Minnikhanov offers Uber company to localize its data-centre in Tatarstan

On November 11, during his working visit to the USA, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Uber company's office in San Fransisco.

Vice President of Communications and Public Policy of the Uber company Racel Whestone told about the company's activities and plans for its further development.

Uber is an international company headquartered in San Francisco. It developed the Uber mobile application, which allow users to submit a trip request, call a taxi or a private driver and makes a payment. As of November 2016, the service is available in over 500 cities worldwide.

Uber employs about 6,700 people worldwide. The Uber app is available in such Russian cities as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Ufa, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, Omsk, Chelyabinsk, Samara and Togliatti.

Rustam Minnikhanov offered the Uber company's management to discuss cooperation in the sphere of information technologies and the possibility to set up the Uber data centre in Tatarstan.
