Kazan receives members of Russian Association of innovative regions

Fabruary,11. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with Deputy Minister of economic development of Russia Oleg Fomichev.
The event was held within the limits of meeting on issues of realizing innovative policy in regions – participants of Russian Association of innovative regions. RT Minister of economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov and Aide to RT President Anatoli Krasnov also attended the meeting.
At the meeting with RT President Oleg Fomichev told about activity of Association. Rustam Minnikhanov in his turn emphasized that Tatarstan has always positioned itself as an innovative region and republican leadership is ready to support initiatives of the association.
Russian Association of innovative regions was founded at the end of 2010. It includes Tatarstan Republic, Tomsk region, Republic of Mordovia, Krasnoyarsk and Perm Territory, Irkutsk, Kaluga and Novosibirsk regions. In accordance with Memorandum about foundation of Russian Association of innovative regions, joining efforts and possibilities of regions will let activate cooperation in the sphere of innovative development and provide coordination of actions, realization of joint projects and enhancement of regional innovative opportunities.
Today the meeting on issues of realizing innovative policy in regions – participants of Russian Association of innovative regions is being held in Kazan. Ministries of economy of RF regions are discussing the strategy of innovative development of Russian federation for the period till 2020 “Innovative Russia-2020”, possibilities of regions’ participation in VI Kazan venture fair in April 2011 and organizational issues. Also Kazan IT-park will be presented today to participants of the meeting.

On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.

On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.

On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
