Competitions in fire-applied sport started in Kazan

Solemn opening of VII All-Russia competitions in fire-applied sport for the Cup of RT Prime Minister was held today in Kazan with participation of Head of republican government Ildar Khalikov, Head of Volga regional centre under RF Ministry of emergency situations Igor Panshin and Head of State Institution of RF Ministry of emergency situations on RT - RT Minister of civil defence and emergency situations, chief judge of competitions Rafis Khabibullin.
RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov said that fire-applied sport is a special kind of sport. “It results in saved lives of people being in difficult situation. Tatarstan hosts these competitions for the 7th time not occasionally. The event was firstly initiated by former Prime Minister and current President of republic Rustam Minnikhanov”, - he said.
Ildar Khalikov noted as well that Tatarstan is a sport region where all conditions for development of various kinds of sport are being created. RT Prime Minister wished every team good luck and to show all their potential.
Head of Volga regional centre under RF Ministry of emergency situations Igor Panshin stressed that Kazan is a sports capital of our country. He thanked leadership of State Institution of RF Ministry of emergency situations on RT for large fruitful work on organizing such serious competitions.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.
