Ildar Khalikov: Elabuga region properly has ended 2010

Elabuga region managed to realize all rather ambitious tasks set before it. This was announced by RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov at reporting session of Elabuga municipal region Board. RT Vice-premier – Minister of energy Ilshat Fardiev, Chairman of RT State Committee on tariffs Rauzil Khaziev, Chairman of RT Committee on supporting small amd medium entrepreneurship Timur Shagivaleev attended the session.

Head of municipal formation Gennadi Emelianov reported on results of 2010. He told about social and eocnomic development of Elabuga region. Accroding to the given information, average wage for January-November 2010 made 15908 roubles. Level of unemployment for the beginning of 2010 was 5,15 % and reduced by the end of year by 2,79 %.

Volume of industrial products, goods and services in Elabuga region made 28 bln. roubles, industrial production index - 129,6 %.

Complex investment plan for modernization of single-industry town Elabuga for 2011-2015 with total sum of financing 6 bln. roubles was approved in 2010. The accepted plan imlies two large investment projects: creation of technopark “Elabuga” priced at 1 bln. roubles and touristic health-improving complex “Emerald shore” priced at 3,6 bln. roubles.

Gennadi Emelianov stressed that one of the most acute problems in the region is tariffs for housing and communal services, which are the highest in Tatarstan. At the same time infrastructure of housing and communal facilities is worn-out.

RT Prime Minister noted that Elabuga region is a special one both in republic and in the whole country because special economic zone “Alabuga” is located here.

I.Khalikov noted that in 2010 a symbolic mark of gross regional product - 1 trillion roubles was exceeded. Index of industrial production made 108, 1 %. Moreover, large complex of oil-refining plants “TANECO” started its work. As for agricultural sector, we managed to avoid decline in output of meat and milk. Construction sphere was marked by building 2 mln. m² of housing, the program of major repairs is in progress. Almost 10 000 GPW veterans have received new flats.

Prime Minister reminded as well about important events which happened in political life of republic. So, Rustam Minnikhanov was assigned to the post of President, population census was properly organized and held. The most serious exam for municipal authorities was elections of local self-government.

Head of RT Government confirmed that Elabuga region is one of the most perspective territories of economic growth in republic.
