Russian Agricultural Bank and Tatarstan Republic signed agreement on interaction within the limits of State program of agricultural development

Agreement on cooperation in realizing measures under State program of agricultural development and regulation of markets of agricultural production, feed and foodstuff was signed by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov and Chairman of Dept. of JSC “Russian Agricultural Bank” Dmitri Patrushev.

The document was signed in House of RT Government in the course of meeting between Rustam Minnikhanov and Dmitri Patrushev.

The Agreement was concluded till December, 31, 2012.

Realization of the agreement will favor expansion of credit resource availability, provision of stable development of rural areas, modernization of households, increase of employment and living standards of citizens.

Within the limits of Agreement JSC “Russian Agricultural Bank” is going to increase credit exposure in RT agro-industrial complex, particularly at the expense of granting investment loans for development of priority agricultural sectors, technical and technological modernization of agro-industrial complex of the region.

Besides, JSC “Russian Agricultural Bank” intends to enlarge credit support of various forms of activity in rural area that are not directly connected with production and processing of agricultural products such as rural tourism and trade, craftwork items, domestic and social-cultural services for villagers.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked leadership of Russian Agricultural Bank for finding new forms of cooperation and support of agricultural producers. He also noted that 2009 and 2010 were difficult years for rural areas because of dry summer and crop damage.

The parties also discussed issue of providing forage for cattle in private households and small forms of agricultural production.

Dmitri Patrushev noted that Tatarstan is one the regions which is under special attention of Russian Agricultural Bank.
