Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in session of Russian Presidential Council for strategic development and priority projects

On December 21, Chairman of Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev held a session of the Russian Presidential Council for strategic development and priority projects. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the event.

Participants of the session approved the passport of priority programme “Reform of control and supervisory activity” and priority project “Clean country”.

“We should update the ideology of the whole control and supervision system in our state as well as reduce the risks for people’s life and health in order to start using the modern partner or service model of control. The development of business but not the number of inspections will be the main result,” Dmitry Medvedev said.

The project “Clean country” aims to create an effective model of solid waste recycling and a new industry that will help to clean our cities from household waste and provide new jobs.

Medvedev informed that a pilot project on construction of five facilities for heat treatment of wastes,  - four facilities in Moscow region and one in Tatarstan.
