Tatarstan President hands in awards to the best managers of 2016

On December 26, at Korston hotel in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin, members of the regional government, heads of regional ministries and agencies, and other officials attended the ceremony of awarding the best managers 2016.

The event started with a minute’s silence in memory of the victims of the Tu-154 plane crash in the Black Sea.

Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed the audience saying that the contest “Manager of the year” was held for the 16th time. He added that Tatarstan is one of the leading donor regions, and regional enterprises make a considerable contribution to the federal budget.

Some regional companies take part in social projects. Moreover, production facilities are being modernized and new enterprises are being launched in the republic.

Mintimer Shaimiev handed in the letter of gratitude and the 7th volume of The Book of philanthropists to Rustam Minnikhanov for his contribution to the revival of the island town of Sviyazhsk.

Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov, Minister of economy of the republic Artem Zdunov, Director General of Tatneft Oil Company Nail Maganov, Director General of TAIF petrochemical company Albert Shigabutdinov also received the letter of gratitude and the Book of philanthropists from Shaimiev.
