On December 28, at a meeting of Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov with finalists and winners of the regional contest “Up” names of members of the newly formed Youth Government of the republic.
For the first time ever the Tatarstan Youth Government has been formed following the results of this year's contest. The new agency, consisting of 23 people, will be a permanent advisory body under the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic. It will engage in project, representative, expert-analytical activities.
With the approval of Prime Minister of the republic Executive Director of the Regional Cadastral Centre “Zemlya” Dina Ashrapova was appointed its chairman.
First Youth Governments were created in 1996 in the Kurgan and Yaroslavl regions. Today they have been formed in 58 Russian regions.
The regional contest "Up!" has been held annually since 2009 by the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the republic in cooperation with the Regional Public Organization "Academy of Creative Young People of the Republic of Tatarstan."
