Dear citizens of Tatarstan!

This holiday is very special for everyone. It is always surrounded by the atmosphere of goodness and warmth, hope and belief in the best. This is the time when we summarize results and plan for the future.

2016 was a successful year for Tatarstan. The republic is keeping positions of one of dynamically developing regions of the country. We are fulfilling our social duties. The Russian President Vladimir Putin supports all our initiatives.

Surely, achievements of the republic are based on diligence of its citizens, our unity, commitment to traditions and the desire to make our life better.

I want to thank everyone who enriches the potential of our republic by their participation and victories, and contributes to the growth of its authority.

The construction of the Islamic Academy in Bolgar and reconstruction of the Cathedral of the Kazan icon of the Mother of God have become the symbols of the revival of spirituality. It strengthens the basis of peaceful and equal interaction of religions. The strength of our multinational union is an important condition of the republic’s prosperity.

We are glad to witness the rise in births. Family values, care of children and elderly people remain indisputable.

2017 will be rich in important events. We are planning to implement major economic projects, hold sports and culture events. We will continue forming comfortable public spaces, plant trees in towns and villages, improve water basins and parks. It has a direct impact on the development of new culture of life and human relations. Education, health, sport, culture and social welfare, housing construction are our priority spheres.

I am sure that we can provide prosperity of our republic and make a considerable contribution to strengthening of our country.
