Rustam Minnikhanov: We will counteract corruption efficiently and rigorously

First session of Council on corruption counteraction under RT President was held under chairmanship of RT President Rustam Minnikhanov on March, 17.
Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin took part in work of the session.
Council on corruption counteraction is a consultative body under RT President on issues of corruption counteraction and was founded by RT President Edict date as of 21.02.2011 №УП-71 as the results of renaming Republican council on realization of anti-corruption policy.
Among key objectives of the council are consideration of issues and preparation of proposals for the President on realizing state policy in the sphere of corruption counteraction on the territory of Tatarstan; providing interaction between state authorities, territorial bodies of federal authorities of executive power on RT, bodies of local self-government in RT, institutions of civil society, organizations and individuals while implementing activity on corruption counteraction on the territory of Tatarstan Republic within the limits of their powers.
Opening the session, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that activity on corruption counteraction in republic started five years ago. Law of the Republic of Tatarstan and subordinate acts were enacted, anti-corruption programs are functioning; federal anti-corruption legislation is being realized consistently.
But still, according to the President, situation is not improving. That is why he made decision to be at the head of Council on corruption counteraction.
RT Minister of justice Midkhat Kurmanov reported on execution of Republican program on implementing the Strategy of anti-corruption policy of Tatarstan Republic for 2009-2011.
RT Minister of education and science Albert Gilmutdinov reported on controlling compliance with legislation while attraction and use of non-budget funds by comprehensive institutions.
Albert Gilmutdinov noted that all information on corruption counteraction is presented in special section on the website of RT Ministry of education and science (http://mon.tatar.ru/rus/anti.htm).
Prosecutor of Tatarstan Republic Kafil Amirov informed members of Council and guests about results of revisions held in comprehensive institutions in 2010 and measures taken by public prosecution bodies on found abuses.
Head of Department on issues of anti-corruption policy under RT President Mars Badrutdinov reported on activity of state authorities and bodies of local self-government on corruption counteraction in 2010.
For information: corruption counteraction is one the priorities for Tatarstan Republic. Positive results were achieved in 2010 in work of law enforcement bodies and preventive measures on revealing reasons and conditions that stimulate corruption. Working groups and commissions on realizing anti-corruption policy were created in state and municipal authorities of republic.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects.
