Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in expert discussion “New regional policy”

On January 12, during the international research and practice conference Gaidar Forum-2017, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the expert discussion “New regional policy”.

The moderator of the discussion was Chairman of the Center for strategic developments Aleksey Kudrin.

In his speech Rustam Minnikhanov said that the pumping up and balance of the regional budgets are important under current economic conditions. It influences the effectiveness of implementation of expenditure commitments and ensuring adequate standard of living.

Minnikhanov noted that changes in the federal legislation will affect the regional revenues. The balancing of levels of social and economic development of the regions should not come to formal relocation of resources.

Russian deputy minister of economic development Aleksandr Tsybulsky said that grants for the best entities of the country according to the rating of the assessment of efficiency of executive authorities will be increased this year.

Tatarstan President stressed that the power of the country is in its regions and he called for motivating the growth incentives.
