Contracts for delivering petrochemical production of JSC “Nizhnekamskneftehim” to Finnish companies signed in Helsinki

On March, 24 President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with heads of Finnish companies and organizations at Union of technological industry of Finland.
Director General of Central union of business life of Finland Mikko Pulkkinen addressed participants of the event with welcoming speech. Particularly, he congratulated Tatarstan authorities on fact that the region took the first place in Russia by investment potential (according to survey conducted by Russian economic school and company «Ernst & Young» - “Measurement of conditions for business conduction in Russian regions).
By words of Mikko Pulkkinen this fact is a good sign for Finnish businessmen.
Rustam Minnikhanov is sure by the end of year Tatarstan and Finnish businessmen will be ready to sign contracts on set of joint projects. RT President said that today Tatarstan is interested in expanding commercial relations with Finland and creation of joint factories. “We are ready to demonstrate that necessary conditions and infrastructure for development of foreign business have been created in republic”, - Rustam Minnikhanov said.
COO of “VR Oy” company (Finnish railways) Mikael Aro, President of construction company “UIT” Kari Kauniskangas, Director for trade policy of “Nokia” company Esa Kaunistola, and representatives of “Outotec Oyj” (elaboration of technologies favoring stable usage of natural resources of land), “Fortum Oyj” (electrical power concern), “Rautaruukki Oyj” (steel industry and metal processing) told about activity of their companies.
In the course of meeting participants raised the issue of opening direct flight connection Kazan-Helsinki. Representatives of “Finnair” company, the largest Finnish air company, were interested in the route.
Later on JSC “Nizhnekamskneftehim” signed the contract with Styrochem Finland (the largest producer of cellular polystyrene in Scandinavia) for delivering sterol in 2011-2013 for the sum of 54 mln. dollars, with Ashland Finland Oy (global leading producer of polyester) for delivering sterol in 2011-2012 for the sum of 27 mln. euro, with North European Oil Trade Finland Oy (the largest Finnish company in storing and petrochemical distribution) for shipment of petrochemical products in 2011-2012 for the sum of 2 mln. euro.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects.
