Ravil Muratov: Tatarstan government supports the demand for abolition of payable fishing

“Tatarstan government will be searching for the ways to abolish charged fishing at republican basins”, - RT first Vice-premier Ravil Muratov said to participants of meeting against charged fishing.
The meeting was held at Freedom Square in Kazan and was organized by initiative group of citizens. Activists from organizations of war veterans, Chernobyl veterans, Regional public organization “Tatarstan fishery club”, Tatarstan Federation of fishing sport, Society of hunters and fishers also jointed the initiative group.

Participants of meeting unanimously accepted resolution addressed to RF President Dmitri Medvedev and Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in which they emphasized “negative public response, social tension and infringement of rights of Russian population in connection with amendments in law on fishery”.

RT first Vice-premier Ravil Muratov assured fishers that they can go fishing for free at all basins of republic. He also informed that Tatarstan government together with authorities from other regions are collecting information on Russia and are preparing suggestions on changing present rules.

It was earlier said that RT government took over the control of situation emerged as a result of imposing restrictions on amateur and sport fishing. Today this issue is under competence of federal authorities, but Tatarstan is considering possibility of suggesting relevant amendments in the document regulating key points of organization of amateur and sport fishing.

It is meant that in accordance with federal law fishing will become charged only at areas with additional services (car parking, equipped piers, e.t.c.). Today a number of amateur fishers need such facilities and are ready to pay for them.
