Tatarstan Minister of forestry: Contract for purchase of highly efficient logging machinery to ease work of foresters

RT Minister of forestry Nail Magdeev informed at briefing in RT Cabinet that first complex of Forest selection seed-growing centre with capacity of 12 mln. transplants per year is expected to be launched in Sabinski region in September. The briefing was held in format of video conference with participation of all municipal regions of republic. It was dedicated to innovative projects realized in republic in agricultural sphere.
According to Nail Magdeev launching of Forest selection seed-growing centre will let to increase the percentage of forest land in Tatarstan for 1-2 %.
Moreover, construction of plant for processing low-quality timber and production of wood-particle boards and medium-density fibreboards together with company “Kastamonu Entegre” will contribute to renewal of forests. Such plant is planned to be built on the territory of special economic zone “Alabuga”.
Nail Magdeev reminded that the cost of such project is 200 mln. US dollars. Launching of first production line is planned for 2012.
Contract for purchasing highly efficient logging machinery produced by Komatsu-Forest Company (Finland) will ease work of foresters.
Speaking about fire-hazardous period and consequences of dry summer 2010 for republic, Nail Magdeev noted that Tatarstan suffered less than neighboring regions due to well-coordinated work of authorities and responsible institutions. 99 forest fires on total area 170 hectares were registered in republic in 2010. Today work on strengthening facilities and equipment of fire services and forestries continues. In 2011 Russian authorities allocated 5 bln. roubles for organizing new fire-chemical stations.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
On 31 March in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva hold a meeting of the Commission on the Russian language under the Rais of Tatarstan, which considered key issues of supporting and developing Russian language, including new educational initiatives and discussed programmes of popularization of Russian literature and activities to preserve the language heritage.
On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Azat Ziganshin informed that the regional central cleaning up action will be held in the republic on 25 April and clarified that the location of the national cleanup day will be announced later as the site will be chosen taking into account the opinions of Tatarstan residents.
On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional and the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin informed about statistics on the collection of utility bills payments from the population and data on the payment discipline of enterprises and organizations of the republic.
