RT Prime Minister highly assessed the project “electronic health care” in Nizhnekamsk

RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov was on working visit in Nizhnekamsk in order to get acquainted with course of realization of pilot project “electronic health care”.

In polyclinic №1 Prime Minister could assess results of the project - Ildar Khalikov tried to make an appointment with a physician by means of information terminal located in the hall. Besides infomats oen could make an appointment with a doctor via Internet and contact centre. By and large 278 thousand appointments were made via the system of electronic line for three months in 2011.

In the course of meeting Ildar Khalikov was told about plan of project development. Firstly, it is necessary to elaborate and adopt information systems for services “Central archive of patients’ health history”, “Register of doctors”, “Manual of medicines”, “Electronic prescription and electronic pharmacy”.

Implementation of afore-mentioned info systems will allow realizing a set of complex tasks in health care system, firstly, - improvement of quality of medical aid. Maintenance of a patient’s medical history in electronic format will exclude loss of data about patients and will let receiving information about patients in time (including emergency situations), and form a waiting list for receiving hard-to-get kinds of medical aid. Secondly, it will help to increase management efficiency. Thirdly, it will decrease expenses of medical institution. Fourth is increase of convenience for patients. They now have more opportunities - view of information about institution, its services, doctors, search for medicines in pharmacies, view of readiness of analysis results, maintenance of personal cabinet, reminder about schedule of visits, news and information about regional Administration of health care and RT Ministry of health care.
