National anti-terrorist committee discussed preparation for Universiade-2013 in Kazan

National anti-terrorist committee discussed in Moscow security measures in the period of preparation for holding 27th World summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan.

By words of Chairman of National anti-terrorist committee, Director of federal security service Aleksandr Bortnikov “international format and mass character of the event determine necessity of timely measures on ensuring anti-terrorist security for participants and guests of sport forum”.

He added that both domestic and foreign experience of conducting such competitions will be taken into consideration. It is planned to work out additional measures aimed at localization of terrorist threats.

Participants of National anti-terrorist committee also discussed issue of organizing anti-terrorist activity on the territory of Tatarstan and additional measures intended for increase of efficiency of security ensuring during preparation for Universiade in Kazan.
