Acting Prime Minister of Tatarstan takes part in Council meeting of Mendeleevsk municipal region

On February 20, Acting Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin arrived on a working visit in Mendeleevsk municipal region to take part in the 18th meeting of the regional Council of the 3rd convocation on results of social and economic development of the region in 2016 and tasks for 2017.

Prior to the meeting Pesoshin and other officials were presented industrial and social projects being implemented in the region, as well as an exhibition of products of local organizations and enterprises.

Making a keynote report at the meeting, Head of Mendeleevsk region Valery Chershintsev noted in particular that in 2016 among 45 regions and urban districts of the republic the region was ranked 19th in terms of social and economic development of municipalities of the republic.

Pesoshin briefed about main results of social and economic development of the republic in 2016, as well as regional programmes, which will be continued in municipal regions of the republic this year.

At the end of the meeting, state awards of Tatarstan were handed in to the most distinguished specialists who are working for the benefit of Mendeleevsk region.
