RF Minister of education and science: Tatarstan approaches to development of education may be used in any region

“Approaches used by Tatarstan Republic in realizing the strategy of education development “Kilechek” may be used in any Russian region”, - RF Minister of education and science Andrei Fursenko said at all-Russia meeting with heads of executive authorities executing management in the sphere of education.
The event took place in Kazan city hall with participation of RT President Rustam Minnikhanov.
The key topic of discussion was initiative of RF Government to raise teacher salaries and modernization of system of general education.
Opening the session, Andrei Fursenko informed that on April,13 at the meeting at Chairman of RF government Vladimir Putin the decision was made to allocate 120 bln. roubles from federal budget by 2013. “The funds are meant for development of regional programs of modernization of educational system, including the main objective – raise of teacher salaries”, - A.Fursenko declared. In 2011 it is planned to allocate 20 bln. roubles for these purposes.
RF Minister of education and science emphasized that funds are to be used efficiently.
President of Tatarstan addressed participants of the meeting with welcoming speech. He told that Tatarstan authorities had seriously started modernization in the sphere of education – the far-reaching strategy of education development “Kilechek” is being implemented in republic. Tatarstan is ready to share the experience with other regions.
Rustam Minnikhanov informed that the strategy is aimed at increase of teacher salaries and enhancing the prestige of profession. “Information technologies open completely new possibilities”, - RT President said mentioning that by May 2011 all teachers of republic will have personal laptops.
As for preschool education, Tatarstan is working on reducing queues for acceptance in kindergartens. According to R.Minnikhanov, 3 bln. roubles are allocated in republic for construction and reconstruction of kindergartens in 2011.
Development of professional education in Tatarstan is connected with formation of educational clusters which include institutions of elementary, secondary and higher education and “anchor” enterprises.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Andrei Fursenko for assistance in emergence of Federal university and two national research universities in Kazan.
RT Minister of education and science Albert Gilmutdinov told in details about program “Kilechek”.
Andrei Fursenko noted that Tatarstan experience in the sphere of modernization of educational system should be taken into consideration in regional programs of other Russian regions.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects.
