On February 22, at Korston Entertainment Complex, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the 12th summary-election conference of Tatarstan judges.
Chairman of the Supreme Court of the republic Ilgiz Gilazov, Head of Judicial Department of Tatarstan Zyavdat Salikhov, heads of bodies of the judiciary of the republic made their reports at the conference.
Speaking at the event, Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan is carrying out major work to improve facilities of courts. In particular, the Arbitration Court of the republic and the Arbitration Court of the Volga district have moved to a new building, he added.
"The work has been appreciated by President Vladimir Putin and Chairman of the Russian Supreme Court Vyacheslav Lebedev,” Minnikhanov said.
Minnikhanov also reminded that he made a decision to increase the staff of the administration of Justice of the Peace courts by 14 extra positions. "This year we will continue our work on relocating magistrate courts to buildings which meet modern requirements," he said.
Tatarstan President stressed that regional judges are facing serious challenges today. He touched upon some of them in more details.
In particular, he said that cases involving the contesting of the cadastral value of real estate items are of paramount importance in administrative disputes.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, the republic has implemented measures aimed at improving procedures for determining the cadastral value. They include introducing the institution of state cadastral appraisers, transferring powers to determine the cadastral value to state budget institutions.
Summing up, Tatarstan President thanked the judges for their work and wished them further success and prosperity.
