Rustam Minnikhanov discusses construction of Xiaoxiang-Volga Agricultural Park

On February 23, during his working visit to the city of Changsha, People's Republic of China, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with participants of a joint investment project “Xiaoxiang-Volga Agricultural Park”. 

A project on the construction of the first phase of the Xiaoxiang-Volga Agricultural Park on biorefinery of plant products with a capacity of 300,000 tonnes per year and production of 200 kinds of organic food and raw materials for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics in Tatarstan was developed to expand and strengthen trade and economic, scientific and technical relations with Hunan Province

The total project cost makes more than 210 million US Dollars. Apart from Chinese partners, Russian and Tatarstan investors are willing to take part in the project. 

The meeting discussed first steps to implement the project and agreed to establish a road map. Investors noted that at present they need support from Tatarstan Government to install necessary service lines. Minnikhanov took this matter under his personal control.
