Rustam Minnikhanov meets Prime Minister of Pakistan Mohammad Nawaz Sharif

On March 19, during his working visit to Islamabad (Pakistan), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Prime Minister of Pakistan Mohammad Nawaz Sharif.

In his welcoming speech Mohammad Nawaz Sharif reminded about his visit to Kazan in 1999. Pakistan's leader visited some industrial enterprises of the republic, including KAMAZ Automaker, Kazan Helicopter Plant, and had a meeting with the regional leadership.

Minnikhanov thanked the Prime Minister for a warm welcome and briefed about results of a visit of the Tatarstan delegation to Punjab province.

Minnikhanov noted that a delegation of Punjab province will make a return visit to Tatarstan in June this year.

Then, Minnikhanov informed the Prime Minister of Pakistan about the industrial and investment potential of Tatarstan, key sectors of the economy and the experience of attracting foreign investors.

Tatarstan President invited the Prime Minister to visit Kazan during his next visit to Russia.

Mohammad Nawaz Sharif accepted the invitation, noting that mutual exchanges of delegations at the regional level contribute greatly to the strengthening of friendly Russian-Pakistani relations.
