Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in session of supervision council of ANO «Executive directorate of XXVII World summer universiade in 2013 in Kazan»

The next session of organizing committee of World summer universiade -2013 is planned to be staged on May 23 in Kazan, RF Minister of sports, tourism and youth policy, chairman of Supervision council of ANO «Exec. directorate of XXVII WSU- 2013 in Kazan» Vitally Mutko informed at the session of Supervision committee.

Session passed in video conference format between Moscow and Kazan.

Moscow was represented by RF Minister of sports, tourism and youth policy Vitaly Mutko, president of Russian sports students union (RSSU) Oleg Matytsyn , general director of ANO «Ex. directorate of XXVII WSU 2013 in Kazan» Vladimir Leonov, state –secretary ,deputy RF Minister of sports, tourism and youth policy Natalia Parshikova, executive director of Olympic Committee of Russia (OCR) Marat Bariev and others.

Kazan (RT Cabinet ) part was led by President of Republic Tatasrtan - deputy chairman of Supervision council Rustam Minnikhanov, RT minister of youth policy, sports and tourism Rafis Burganov, Deputy RT Prime minister – Minister of info and communication Nikolai Nikiforov and others.

Welcoming the members of Supervision council Rustam Minnikhanov thanked head of RF Minsport for support in submitting application for holding world championship on water sports events in 2015/17 years in Kazan. We shall worthily represent our country if we receive the right to stage these completions , Rustam Minikhanov assured .

Further, RT President informed that the works are under way at all sport objects: Universiade Village, construction and reconstruction of street traffic network, Kazan international airport etc.

Rustam Minnikhanov presented to the Supervision council members via video conference a Palace of water sports. It is in construction phase. The object is designed for 4,5 ths. viewers, general space – 44 ths. sq. m. (including diving pool , two swimming pools for 50m. and others ). Presently, 279 people are working on the object using the most updated technologies of water purification and energy saving.

Vitaly Mutko watched also the opening of competitions of students football league 2011 (Olymp stadium, Kazan in on-line format ). Minister of youth, sports and tourism Rafis Burganov more in detail told about the students football league. He, in particular, reminded that the competitions are being held since last year for activization of mass kinds of sports and sports students movement .

General director of ANO “Ec. Committee of XXVII WSU -2013 in Kazan” Vladimir Leonov reported on course of implementing Strategic master –plan and project of Strategic plan of Universiade -2013.

Igor Sivov, deputy general director of Ex. Directorate told about performance of marketing program of U-2012. He in details shared out on work of attracting companies – sponsors and sponsor programs (general partner; official partner ; partner). So, the official partners of the U-2013 have become companies «Megafon» and «PricewaterhouseCoopers».

The separate project of marketing program becomes Internet store to be traded by Universiade symbols and souvenirs .

The negotiations keep going on sponsorship of Coca-Cola company.

The first licensed product of Universiade -2013 appeared . It I artesian bottled water а Water-2013 ( marketed in September, 2010).

Rustam Minnikahnov offered to invite the representatives of the companies – potential sponsors of the U-2013 for one of the sessions of steering committee to show them more detailed about the scale of the event, its significance for the country as a whole and relations from the Federal authorities.

Later, the members of Supervision council discussed the issue of training volunteers in the context of the Universiade -2013, their motivation and arranging their training . It is supposed that the volunteers of general profile to be enrolled (45%), volunteers -specialists (15%), sports volunteers (15%), city volunteers (25%).
