Modernization of railway line to airport “Kazan” starts in May

Works on modernization of railway line from Kazan railway station to international airport “Kazan” will start on May, 15. Such information was announced today at a working meeting on issue of organizing intermodal transportation held by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov. Head of Gorky railways Anatoli Lesun, RT Premier Ildar Khalikov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin also took part in the event.
Rustam Minnikhanov informed that according to the project passengers of “air express” will spend 20 minutes only to get from railway station to the airport in 2013. Local trains will cover the same route for 35 minutes.
President of Tatarstan reminded that a principal decision about organization of intermodal transportations between the city and airport was made on May, 5 in 2010 by RF Premier Vladimir Putin at a meeting in Kazan on issues of preparation for Universiade 2013. Now the project is being financed. JSC “Russian railways” allocates funds for modernization of railway line. “Republican authorities are responsible for creating conditions for realization of the project in time”, - Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.
Also republican and municipal authorities should enrich adjacent territory and provide traffic of local trains which are to be launched on modernized line.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
