Representative office of Tatarstan Republic to be created in Dubai

Representative office of Tatarstan Republic will be organized in emirate of Dubai (United Arab Emirates). Such decision was made on May, 10 by results of meeting between RT President Rustam Minnikhanov and Director-general of Investment agency of Dubai (FDI – Foreign Direct Investment) Mr Fahad Al Gergawi. The main task is to represent trade and economic interests of the Republic of Tatarstan in United Arab Emirates and whole area of Persian Gulf.
The meeting was held within the framework of investment forum Annual Investment Meeting 2011 (AIM-2011) which takes place in Dubai.
According to Director of Department for external relations under RT President Administration, Aide to RT President on international issues Iskander Muflikhanov, Rustam Minnikhanov and Mr Fahad Al Gergawi discussed further interaction between Tatarstan Republic and FDI. In particular, business delegation from United Arab Emirates will take part in summit of Islamic business and finances Kazansummit-2011 that will be held in Kazan in June.
The parties also discussed the issue of opening through air traffic between Kazan and Dubai. Head of FDI Fahad Al Gergawi expressed readiness to lobby for this issue.
Chairman of Committee for developing small and medium entrepreneurship Linar Yakupov took part in the meeting.

Leyla Fazleeva holds a meeting of the commission under the Rais of Tatarstan on the Russian language
On 31 March in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva hold a meeting of the Commission on the Russian language under the Rais of Tatarstan, which considered key issues of supporting and developing Russian language, including new educational initiatives and discussed programmes of popularization of Russian literature and activities to preserve the language heritage.

On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Azat Ziganshin informed that the regional central cleaning up action will be held in the republic on 25 April and clarified that the location of the national cleanup day will be announced later as the site will be chosen taking into account the opinions of Tatarstan residents.
On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional and the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin informed about statistics on the collection of utility bills payments from the population and data on the payment discipline of enterprises and organizations of the republic.

On 27 March, speaking at a ceremonial event dedicated to celebrations of the Day of Russian National Guard held at the Kazan City Hall with participation of the Chief of the Office of the Staff of the Rais of the republic Asgat Safarov, heads of law-enforcement bodies of the republic and veterans and employees of the territorial Directorate of the National Guard, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian National Guard Directorate for the republic Republic of Tatarstan is traditionally acknowledged as one of the best in the country.
