Igor Shuvalov saw Universiade objects in Kazan

Today First deputy chairman of RF government - Chairman of organizing committee of World Summer Universiade 2013 Igor Shuvalov is in Kazan with working visit.

Accompanied by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin first Vice-premier of Russia viewed Universiade objects.

On arriving in international airport “Kazan” members of organizing committee visited construction site of terminal 1A. The construction is planned to be finished in November. Total area of premises in new terminal will make 17400 m². New terminal will provide capacity of 1,2 mln. passengers per year. Information about project on organizing intermodal traffic from the centre of Kazan to international airport “Kazan” was also reported to Igor Shuvalov. By words of Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan and “Russian railways” started realization of the project and it would be finished in time.

Members of organizing committee also visited Universiade Village and got acquainted with course of construction of International information centre of World student games. The Centre of public security was separately presented to Igor Shuvalov.

At construction site of road interchange (Tankovoe Koltso) Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin reported about reconstruction of street-traffic city network.

Igor Shuvalov also visited football stadium being built on Chistopolskaya street.

First Vice-premier of Russia headed for technopark in the sphere of high technologies “IT-park” to take part in visiting session of organizing committee on preparation for XXVII World summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan.
