Rustam Minnikhanov: Chemistry and petrochemistry are growing points of Tatarstan economy

“Chemical and petrochemical sectors are growing points of Tatarstan economy”, - President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said at a festive event dedicated to the Chemist’s day. It is celebrated within the limits of renewed by UNO International chemist’s year.
In Kazan celebrations took place at the site of “Tatneft-arena”. In the event took part heads of republican ministries and departments, heads of leading chemical and petrochemical enterprises, veterans of chemical industry, laureates of contests in chemistry and thousands of students from Kazan state technological university.
Before the celebration began Rustam Minnikhanov saw exposition of scientific achievements and innovations of students, post-graduates and employees of Kazan state technological university – one of major centres of domestic chemical engineering education. The exhibition was divided into four theme expositions - petrochemistry, nanotechnologies, polymeric chemistry and defence sector (conversion technologies).
Rector of the university German Diakonov addressed guests, students and pupils intended to devote themselves to chemistry.
Heads of leading chemical and petrochemical enterprises of Tatarstan – Director-general of JSC “Kazanorgsintez” Leonid Alekhin, Head of JSC “TANECO” Khamza Bagmanov, Director-general of JSC “Nizhnekamskneftehim” Vladimir Busygin and Head of JSC “Tatneft” Shafagat Takhautdinov” and others.
Later on President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov was invited to the stage. He stressed that for republic oil production, petrochemistry and oil processing are “growing points”. Since 2000 the third program of developing oil-gas-chemical Complex has been realized in republic.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
