Rustam Minnikhanov about Kazan-Riga flight: I am sure that this flight will be popular among our tourists

On April 27, at his meeting with the Mayor of Riga Nils Ušakovs, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude for assistance in organization of the visit of the Tatarstan delegation to Riga last year.

Minnikhanov said that good opportunities for cooperation are in the spheres of engineering, informatization, medicine, logistics and transport. Also, joint startup projects in IT industry and innovative technologies are priority areas.

Tatarstan President suggested developing scientific cooperation and exchange of students and teachers. He noted that the direct flight between Kazan and Riga would have a positive impact on strengthening of business and tourist relations.

Nils Ušakovs thanked Tatarstan President for hospitality saying that people in Latvia are well aware of economic, cultural and tourist potential of the republic. He added that the direct flight between Kazan and Riga is a great achievement and tourist flow should be increased in both directions.
