Leonov: Most tickets have been sold for the Confederations Cup match between Russia and Mexico

On May 10, speaking at a briefing at the regional Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports of the republic Vladimir Leonov said that most tickets have been sold for the Confederations Cup match between the national teams of Russia and Mexico, which will be held in Kazan.

The FIFA Confederations Cup will be held from June 17 to July 2 in Kazan, Sochi, Saint Petersburg and Moscow. Kazan will host a match between Portugal and Mexico on June 18, a match between Germany and Chile will be played on June 22, a match between Mexico and Russia will take place on June 24 and semi-final will be held on June 28.

Leonov noted that for the capital of Tatarstan a test match of the Confederations Cup will be held at the Kazan-Arena stadium on the 17th of May. On this day, the match of the championship of the Russian Football Premier League between Rubin and CSKA will be free for holders of passports of a fan of the Confederations Cup.

“We want to test the stadium and a new access system - the fan's passport. All this is done for security reasons," the Minister said.

According to him, about 20,000 applications for the fan's passport have already been submitted, including CSKA fans - about 2,500 people.
