President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in Tatar national holiday Sabantui in Alkeevsky region

On June 12 President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in Tatar national holiday Sabantui in Alkeevsky municipal region.

Celebrations took place at the square of regional centre Bazarnye Mataki.

Guests saw improvised sites imitating way of life and traditions of Tatar, Russian and Chuvash villages. The event started from the show “Holiday of plough”. Head of Alkeevsky municipal region Ferdinat Davletshin and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov addressed guests with congratulations.

Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that people started celebrating Sabantui on June 11. Now it is not only a Tatar holiday, it is annually celebrated in 55 subjects of federation and 23 countries.

On June 12 thee holidays were celebrated – Sabantui, state holiday Day of Russia, and Whitsunday.

Speaking about Alkeevsky municipal region Rustam Minnikhanov noted that it greatly contributes to development of the whole republic. “Those changes which have happened here for the last five years are significant.
They are evident in economic and social-cultural spheres. We should give credit for efficient work of administration of the region”, - RT President said.

By words of Rustam Minnikhanov today Alkeevsky region might be proud of being a “pilot one” in Tatarstan and Russia in terms of progressing the most advanced technologies in agricultural sector. It would be impossible without attraction of private investors. Head of republic stressed that the region has great prospects and wished dwellers of Alkeevsky region success in work and prosperity.

In the celebrations took part Deputy PM – Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov, Deputy of State Duma of Federal Assembly Airat Khairullin, Secretary of RT Security Council Valery Vlasov and Manager for branch of RF Pension Fund on RT Marsel Imamov.
