On May 23, at his meeting with President of Siemens Company Joe Kaeser in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that despite the current situation in the international political arena, Tatarstan continues to actively cooperate with German companies, including Siemens, Linde, BASF, Bosch, Krauss Maffei, etc.
Also, Tatarstan contributes to the development of inter-regional ties between Russia and Germany. "Leading Tatarstan delegations, I visited six German lands last year. All of them were interested in strengthening trade, economic and other forms of cooperation," he said.
Minnikhanov noted that today products produced by Siemens are represented in almost all sectors of the Tatarstan economy, including power engineering, petrochemicals, engineering and automation systems, healthcare, transport.
"Tatarstan is interested in expanding all-round cooperation with Siemens Company, as well as in wider localization of your production facilities in our republic. We have all the necessary infrastructure for this,” Tatarstan President said.
At the end of the meeting, in the presence of Minnikhanov, an Agreement on Cooperation between Kazan Federal University (KFU) and Siemens Healthineers Company was signed by Rector of KFU Ilshat Gafurov and Director General of Siemens Healthineers Svetlana Gerbel. The agreement envisages the involvement of the parties in a number of joint projects from the supply of the latest equipment by Siemens Healthineers for research work to the establishment of a specialized educational centre at Elabuga Institute (branch) of KFU.
Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Albert Karimov, Minister of Health of the republic Adel Vafin, Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, Rector of Kazan (Volga region) Federal University Ilshat Gafurov and other officials took part in the meeting.
