Rustam Minnikhanov and First Vice-premier of Ulianovsk region discuss prospects of cooperation

Issues of cooperation between two neighboring regions of Russia – the Republic of Tatarstan and Ulianovsk region were discussed at a meeting of RT President Rustam Minnikhanov with delegation of Ulianovsk region led by Deputy Chairman of district government Vladimir Kozin.

The meeting took place in Kazan Kremlin with participation of Head of RT Agency for investment development Linar Yakupov, and Director of Department for external relations – Aide to RT President Iskander Muflikhanov.
Vladimir Kozin conveyed to Rustam Minnikhanov words of gratitude on behalf of the Governor of Ulianovsk region Sergey Morozov.

Vladimir Kozin informed that delegation of Ulianovsk region every year visits international Islamic business and Finance Summit and current visit is also connected with KAZANSUMMIT-2011.

Rustam Minnikhanov pointed out the importance of cooperation between Tatarstan and Ulianovsk region because of neighboring location. Moreover 200 000 Tatars live in Ulianovsk region.

President of public organization of Tatar businessmen of Ulianovsk region “Sember” Radik Gafurov reported on activity of the association and invited Head of Tatarstan to take part in one of their sessions. RT President received the invitation and promised to met with members of organization during the next trip to Ulianovsk region.
