Vladimir Putin meets Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Prime Minister of Bavaria Horst Seehofer

On June 2, during St. Petersburg international economic forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin met Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Prime Minister of Bavaria Horst Seehofer to sign documents on the construction of a new petrochemical complex producing ethylene and polymers at Nizhnekamskneftekhim pharmaceutical company.

Rustam Minnikhanov informed Putin of specific features of the project, technological features of the future ethylene complex and prospects of cooperation with German partners.

Tatarstan President thanked Putin for the attention to interregional cooperation aimed at strengthening of relations between Russia and Germany.

At their meeting earlier, Tatarstan President and Prime Minister of Bavaria outlined further steps on strengthening of cooperation between Tatarstan and Bavaria. Rustam Minnikhanov said that the construction of new petrochemical complex if of federal significance.
