On June 2, at his meeting with the Governor of Irkutsk region Sergey Levchenko during St. Petersburg international economic forum, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that an agreement on cooperation was signed between the two regions at the Russian investment forum in Sochi in February.
Minnikhanov offered to organize mutual visits of business delegation. “I invite you and your colleagues to Tatarstan to study the potential of cooperation and establishment of direct partnership contacts with our enterprises,” he said.
The interregional trade turnover between Tatarstan and Irkutsk has exceeded 4 bln roubles. Rustam Minnikhanov thinks that despite good economic results, the regions should expand product range and the volume of trade. In addition, cooperation should be developing in agriculture, housing and utility sector, construction, social, cultural and tourism spheres. Rustam Minnikhanov and Sergey Levchenko signed the plan of actions for the agreement on cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and Irkutsk region.
