President of Tatarstan handed awards and badges of honor to winners of republican youth contests

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with winners of republican youth contests in House of RT Government.
Rustam Minnikhanov handed republican awards named after Musa Jalil, special state grants of open republican television youth festival of pop art “Sozvezdie-Yoldyzlyk” and badges of honor “For active work in the sphere of state and youth policy of the Republic of Tatarstan” to representatives of the most active youth associations and creative teams.
The republican award named after Musa Jalil was instituted on February, 27 in 1997. It is awarded once in two years to candidates aged under 30 or candidates working with/for the youth. The award is handed for personal contribution in development of art, science, education and high achievements in the sphere of youth entrepreneurship and realization of youth programs.
This year the award was handed by results of work in 2009-2010 for performing classics of Tatar music, achievements in realization of youth policy and publications related to intellectual and aesthetic education of youth, achievements in sport and winning XXV Universiade in Erzurum city (Turkey).
24 laureates were awarded with special state grants of open republican television youth festival of pop art “Sozvezdie-Yoldyzlyk”.
On finishing the ceremony Rustam Minnikhanov offered participants to address their suggestions to republican leadership. Young people spoke about support of talented youth, especially in rural areas, providing students with travel tickets for public transport, etc.
Representatives of Almetievsk Tatar state drama theatre suggested to organize viewing a performance in republican dedicated to the problem of drug addiction.
President of Tatarstan gave assignment to consider the problem of providing students with travel tickets for public transport.
On 31 March in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva hold a meeting of the Commission on the Russian language under the Rais of Tatarstan, which considered key issues of supporting and developing Russian language, including new educational initiatives and discussed programmes of popularization of Russian literature and activities to preserve the language heritage.
On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Azat Ziganshin informed that the regional central cleaning up action will be held in the republic on 25 April and clarified that the location of the national cleanup day will be announced later as the site will be chosen taking into account the opinions of Tatarstan residents.
On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional and the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin informed about statistics on the collection of utility bills payments from the population and data on the payment discipline of enterprises and organizations of the republic.
On 27 March, speaking at a ceremonial event dedicated to celebrations of the Day of Russian National Guard held at the Kazan City Hall with participation of the Chief of the Office of the Staff of the Rais of the republic Asgat Safarov, heads of law-enforcement bodies of the republic and veterans and employees of the territorial Directorate of the National Guard, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian National Guard Directorate for the republic Republic of Tatarstan is traditionally acknowledged as one of the best in the country.
