President of Tatarstan holds visiting session with chiefs of oil companies - the oil summit

RT President Rustam Minnikhanov held a visiting session with chiefs of Tatarstan oil companies in Karabash settlement (Bugulma region).

Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin, RF Deputy Minister of energy Sergei Kudryashov, representatives of Tatarstan ministries and departments, chiefs of territorial departments of federal institutions, chiefs of towns and districts of Tatarstan oil region, top managers of largest petrochemical enterprises, officials of RT President Staff and RT government.

Such meetings are annually held in republic since 2001. The most urgent issues of the industry are considered there. Before this year they were held at one of Kama islands in Elabuga region. First RT President Mintimer Shaimiev called the forum “Elabuga summit”. Later it was called “oil summit”.

Before the beginning of summit participants saw mobile expositions where advanced technologies of “Tatneft” and RITEK companies.

Opening the 11th summit Rustam Minnikhanov called it a “convenient and interesting site” where representatives of various structures discuss current and strategic issues of the industry.

Director general of ZAO “Neftekonsortsium” Fanis Valeev informed about working results of small oil companies in the first half-year 2011. In particular he emphasized the necessity of state support for adopting methods of reservoir recovery increase. This can increase reserves and production of oil.

Director general of JSC “Tatneft” Shafagat Takhautdinov told about activity of the company in current year. He pointed out the positive process of preparing bills for state stimulation of small oil fields development.

Shafagat Takhautdinov also expressed concerns regarding introduction of export taxes that will not favorably influence oil-refining plants being under construction including JSC “TANECO” (Nizhnekamsk). Deputy Premier – Minister of energy Ilshat Fardiev told about Conception of energy strategy of RT till 2030.

RF Deputy Minister of energy Sergei Kudryashov said that visiting summit let him learn about new achievements of Tatarstan oil industry workers. He also informed about new steps of RF ministry of energy in the sphere of oil production and oil refining.
