Rustam Minnikhanov discusses prospects of cooperation in the field of wind energy with representatives of Guris Company and Russkiy Veter Company

On July 3, in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with representatives of Guris Company (Turkey) and Russkiy Veter Company (Russian holding, which provides a full range of services in the field of wind energy).

Welcoming the guests, Minnikhanov noted that Guris Company is the largest company in the field of power engineering, construction of power generation and industrial facilities in Turkey.

"You have considerable expertise in the field of wind energy. You have great capacities. This is relevant, as Tatarstan is looking into this issue, and there is a growing interest in this topic in Russia," Minnikhanov said.

Moreover, Minnikhanov stressed that Turkish companies are successfully operating in the Tatarstan market, adding that ten plants have been opened in the republic, the volume of Turkish investments in the various branches of the economy amounted to about 10 bln US dollars.

Speaking about wind energy and development of this area in Tatarstan, Minnikhanov said that the region is developing certain approaches with regard to the topic and that it was decided to conduct relevant studies. He continued that three sites have already been chosen in three municipal regions.
