Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin meets with Muslim and Orthodox Christian clergy in Kazan

The meeting took place at the Kazan Kremlin following a meeting of the government commission on helping the families of those killed and injured in the Bulgaria boat accident.
Tatarstan Muslim Religious Board Chairman Ildus hazrat Faizov and Superior of the Kazan Mother of God Monastery Pitirim talked to the head of the government.
Prime Minister thanked the Muslim and Orthodox Christian representatives for the support they gave to parishioners in the time when the whole Russia lived through the Bulgaria wreck tragedy. “In such moments, spiritual support is often more important for people than any financial help,” Vladimir Putin stressed.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said an Orthodox church and a Muslim mosque would be built on the Kuybishev reservoir shore, near the accident scene.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
