Igor Levitin: Divers will not leave the place of shipwreck till the vessel is lifted

Divers of Ministry of emergency situations will continue operations at the place of “Bulgaria” shipwreck up to the full vessel lifting, RF Minister of transport Igor Levitin said on finishing the session of government commission for rendering help to families of the perished and suffered and assistance in liquidation of the accident circumstances. The session was held at House of RT Government.
Igor Levitin informed that preparations for lifting operations are being held at the place of shipwreck. Divers of the 40th institute of RF Ministry of defence and FGU “Podvodrechstroi” are operating. At the same time divers of Ministry of emergency situations continue searching for bodies. 114 perished have been found for now.
“We asked divers of Ministry of emergency situations to work until the vessel is lifted. They will continue examining the bottom after lifting operations. It is important not only in terms of searching operations but for defining all circumstance of the accident.
Igor Levitin stated that the lifting procedure is rather complicated and long-lasting. In accordance with data given at the session preparatory actions are being implemented at the sunk motor-boat. The 40th institute of RF Ministry of defence has developed the project and was given to FGU “Podvodrechstroi” for approval.
Water area of Kuibyshev basin, bank line and islands are being searched. RT Premier Ildar Khalikov requested chiefs of municipal formations not to slow down till the vessel would be lifted. Air forces are operating at full. For now 113 bodies have been identified at Republican bureau of forensic medical examination, 99 were given to relatives, 93 victims of the tragedy were buried. Federal migration service has already recovered 60 documents.
Compensations were paid to relatives of 12 perished people.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
