Rustam Minnikhanov visits exhibition of the history of sport and UNESCO exposition during the Sixth International Conference of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sport MINEPS VI

On July 14, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited exhibition of the history of sport and UNESCO exposition during the Sixth International Conference of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sport MINEPS VI at Korston, Kazan.

The conference is being held on July 13-15 under the auspices of UNESCO. Heads and representatives of state authorities in the sphere of sport of the countries – members of UNESCO, and interested international organizations are taking part in the event.

The conference has been held on the initiative of UNESCO since 1976. Its main aim is assessment of international events in the sphere of physical education and sport, and development of strategies that meet principles stated in the International Charter of Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport, Olympic Harty, and other international documents.

The exposition dedicated to international competitions from the Russian State museum of sport was presented at the exhibition. Also, the torch of the 1980 summer Olympic Games, the torch of Universiade-2013 in Kazan were presented there.

Tatarstan Minister of Sport Vladimir Leonov told about sports achievements of the republic.
