Days-long operations on lifting “Bulgaria” river boat from the bottom of Volga River and its transportation aground have finished. Such a statement is reported by RF Minister of transport Igor Levitin on July 23. “The session of state commission members was held, we discussed further course of operation. In few hours the boat should be transported aground and divers start hermetic sealing of the right side and dewater it. The operation will be implemented aground, not at the shipwreck place as it was planned before. The HQ is finishing the mission on boat lifting. Lieutenant-general of RF Ministry of emergency situations Panshin together with Investigation committee will be responsible for further operations”, - he said.

In case “Bulgaria” is in a floating state and investigators are satisfied, they will start working on – site, otherwise the boat to be docked. What will happen to the vessel next will be decided after major investigation. I should note that all forces of Ministry of defence, Ministry of transport and RF Ministry of emergency situations have been working professionally”, - Igor Levitin stated.
