A world leader is ready to provide food for Universiade Village and Kazan medical institutions

One of the largest companies in the sphere of organizing public catering - French company Sodexo is ready to organize centralized catering at Universiade Village and major Kazan medical centres. Details of cooperation have been discussed at a meeting between RT President Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of Sodexo holding Michel Landel.

Opening the meeting Head of republic noted that for the last year Sodexo had achieved considerable results in realization of its projects in Tatarstan Republic. The company organizes public catering for JSC “KAMAZ” and Emergency hospital of Naberezhnye Chleny town. R.Minnikhanov suggested considering further cooperation between Tatarstan and French company in details at the current meeting.

By words of Michel Landel Sodexo wishes to be engaged in organization of public catering at Universiade Village including student games as well. The project is being under agreement. The company is also interested in servicing Kazan medical institutions.

Rustam Minnikhanov suggested organizing public catering in RKB (Republican clinical hospital) and DRKB (Children Republican clinical hospital). By words of RT Minister of health care absence of a large central procurement complex in Kazan prevents the idea from realization. According to company representatives Sodexo is ready to invest into construction of such a complex if it would be provided with orders.

President of Tatarstan supported the idea of constructing a central “kitchen”. He thinks providing guests and participants of Universiade will be impossible without such centre.

Head of republic asked to consider opportunity of catering organization with participation of Sodexo company not only in medical institutions but also at Kazan universities, kindergartens and schools. Such outsourcing lets providing high-quality food services in accordance with unified standards. Rustam Minnikhanov also told about promoting such catering system among students, rectors of higher educational institutions and parents. “We have to demonstrate its advantages, not just impose it on people by administrative way”, - RT President emphasized.
